2011 HAIRDRESSER OF THE YEAR
On Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, six of Michigan’s finest hair artists competed live on stage at The Tiffany Awards for the title of 2011 Hairdresser of the Year. Each finalist’s collection demonstrated outstanding talent, artistry and passion for his or her craft, but it was Anna LaTorre of Pigalle Salon & MedSpa in Southfield, MI who won the judges over with her edgy and sophisticated collection.
LaTorre wowed judges, not only with her fantastic looks and presentation, but also with her dedication. Although she just gave birth to the newest addition to her family on Wednesday, that didn’t stop her from getting right back to work and exceeding judges’ and audience members’ expectations. Judges were impressed with LaTorre’s fashion-forward styles, and several commented on her unique color submission that included hints of pink, blonde and red.
When asked how it felt to win, LaTorre responded, “Amazing, of course!”
