Charitable Mission
The Tiffany Awards showcases the latest glamorous looks, spiced up with Metro Detroit flair. In its eighth year, Tiffany is the vision and creation of tng worldwide (TNG) President and CEO Larry Gaynor. "We've taken a traditional runway show and added a dynamic twist, The Tiffany Hairdresser of the Year Awards," says Gaynor.
Gaynor took a previously unexplored concept and turned it into a full-scale fashion and music spectacular, with compassion for a cure. All proceeds from Tiffany go to cancer research education, advocacy and patient services through the American Cancer Society (ACS). TNG raised $100,000 for ACS in 2009, and $1.5 million since its inception.
More than 1 million people are diagnosed with cancer each year. Approximately one out of every two American men and one out of every three American women will have a form of cancer during their lifetime. Today, millions of people are living with cancer or have been cured of the disease. ACS is the only organization available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help those touched by this disease. Early detection is a powerful weapon in the fight against cancer, as studies show it greatly increases treatment effectiveness and patients’ chances for survival.
Larry Gaynor, Teresa Gaynor (his wife and TNG’s Vice President), and the company's 250+ employees are tremendous supporters of ACS. As a Five-Star Investor, TNG fights cancer on multiple fronts.
Tell A Friend - April 5-30
In this annual telephone campaign, employees strive to raise awareness of mammogram testing for women over 40 by calling women they know. Join us in this important initiative. Saving a life is only a telephone call away. For more information, visit http://www.cancer.org.
Salons for the Cure – May/June
During the months of May and June, Salons for the Cure unites the professional beauty industry in the fight to cure breast cancer. In the past, salons are encouraged to display pink paper ribbons as a symbol of honor to those who have survived or been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The traditional pink paper ribbon evolved in 2007 to an elegant work of keepsake art. Both salon owners and their clients were proud to display this stunning piece.
For 2010, TNG has partnered with ACS to offer donation cards in celebration of the “world with more birthdays” campaign. These inspiring cards are a useful, thoughtful way to convey the ongoing message of hope and love. Please review.
