The judging process
Photographic entries must be received by 5:00pm on Monday May 28, 2008 at:

The Nailco Group
The Tiffany Awards Dept 2922
23200 Haggerty Road
Farmington Hills, MI 48335

Entries must be complete and meet rules to progress into judging process.

An industry panel of judges score individual entries within a category. The highest cumulative point score within each category determines the photographic entries named as finalists (nine) as well as first, second and third place winners.

The cumulative scores for three categories – Color, Formal and Women’s Editorial – are added into one total score for the Michigan Hairdresser of the Year category. The top three entrants are deemed live finalists and notified before July 28 to begin preparation for the live competition. Michigan Hairdresser of the Year Finalists present a model collection of their award-winning styles in a live runway competition at the Tiffany Award Presentation on September 20, 2008, preparing one model to represent each of the three categories.

In a photographic category, nine finalists are named at the Tiffany Awards Banquet on September 20, 2008. Then first, second and third place winners are presented with a Tiffany & Co crystal trophy in their respective category. Michigan Hairdresser of the Year finalists earn a new set of scores from a live panel of judges based on their on-stage model collection that evening. One live finalist is presented with the Michigan Hairdresser of the Year Tiffany & Co crystal trophy based on these new scores.
